Each day, 2,000 children under the age of 15 become infected with HIV/AIDS.
AIDS has killed more than 25 million people worldwide making it the most destructive epidemic in recorded history. In 2005 the AIDS epidemic claimed an estimated 3.1 million lives of which, more than 570,000 were children.
If each of us isolated ourselves and vowed to never touch one another again we would suffocate the HIV virus into extinction within a few generations, but that¹s a world nobody wants to embrace.
How Do I Get Involved?
- Check out www.YouthAIDS.org and www.compassion.com. Educate yourself on their mission. Call their offices, introduce yourself, make a connection, get involved, or just tell them to keep up the good work.
- Log onto www.ChicBlvd.com/aids and familiarize yourself with this campaign You can pledge to any of the Awareness tins as they move across the globe towards their D.C. destination.
- You can also buy Aids Awareness Tins online at www.HintMint.com. Hint Mint is donating 100% of all the profits from the sales of Aids Awareness tins to YouthAids and Compassion International.
- And lastly... Let the Awareness linger. Dare to keep talking about it on a daily basis. Adopt a mission of vengeance against this relentless epidemic. Stamp out the stigmas that surround us with fear so that we can all be a survivor, because that¹s what we are.
